Position Overview
The University of Lethbridge is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Accounting Clerk IV on a full-time, ongoing basis.

In this position, you will report directly to the Manager of Accounting and Tax, engaging in a range of responsibilities within the Operating unit, which includes both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable/Cash Office functions.

Your key responsibilities will encompass the daily management of the University's procurement card program, processing invoices for external clients, performing various reconciliation and analysis tasks, and undertaking special projects as needed.

This role requires close collaboration with procurement cardholders, external partners, and various internal teams.

The University of Lethbridge is currently conducting a job classification review for positions under the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE). Consequently, the classification level assigned to this role may be subject to change as a result of this initiative.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a two-year diploma in Business Administration, including intermediate accounting coursework, along with 2-4 years of relevant work experience.

A combination of appropriate education and experience may also be considered.

Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles, as well as intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, are essential.

Familiarity with the Banner Finance system would be advantageous.

This position operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring the ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Attention to detail is crucial for ensuring a high level of accuracy, and a willingness to contribute to departmental success through participation in special projects and priorities is highly valued.

Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and analytical abilities, possess a service-oriented mindset, and be capable of working independently.

The successful applicant will need to undergo a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Compensation
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $4,469.00 monthly
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $4,921.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 8)
