About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer and Board Administrator to join our team at The Government of Nova Scotia. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide senior-level administrative support to the CEO and the Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support and assistance to the CEO and the Board, including composing and preparing correspondence, scheduling and organizing meetings, and coordinating presentations and documents.
  • Manage the administrative functions of the Office of the CEO and the Board, including maintaining filing and retrieval systems, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing expense claims.
  • Coordinate the administrative functions of secretarial administrative staff reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Provide comprehensive and confidential support to the NSAA Board, including maintaining a reporting and tracking system for Agency activities, correspondence, and policy work.
  • Support the Board and CEO to oversee processes related to the Act and Regulations.
  • Manage effective financial controls for the Office of the CEO and the Board.
  • Ensure the effective management of the Agency's human, technical, and financial resources.
Requirements
  • A 1-year business or administration program with a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Resourceful, reliable, and highly organized with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong time management skills.
  • Sound judgment and initiative, often working independently to resolve administrative issues.
  • A high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, and discretion.
