The Chief Executive Officer will report directly to the Board of Directors, offering strategic guidance, promoting organizational development, and ensuring the successful execution of programs and services at igility. As the primary representative of the organization, the CEO will manage public relations and will be responsible for all organizational policies and decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
  1. Develop and implement the vision and strategic direction for igility as determined by the Board of Directors.
  2. Collaborate with the Board to establish organizational goals and objectives.
Organizational Management:
  1. Supervise daily operations, ensuring all programs and services run efficiently.
  2. Lead and inspire staff, fostering a collaborative and mission-focused workplace.
Financial Oversight:
  1. Work alongside the finance team to create and manage the annual budget.
  2. Ensure financial health through prudent resource management and fundraising initiatives.
Fundraising and Development:
  1. Oversee fundraising efforts, nurturing relationships with key donors, foundations, and partners.
  2. Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
Public Relations:
  1. Act as the primary spokesperson for igility, engaging with media to promote the organization's mission.
  2. Lead the creation and execution of public relations strategies to enhance organizational visibility.
Community Engagement:
  1. Represent igility within the community, fostering relationships with stakeholders and other organizations.
  2. Advocate for the organization's mission and raise awareness of relevant health issues.
Policy and Decision-Making:
  1. Serve as the final authority on all organizational policies and decisions.
  2. Ensure that policies align with the mission and values of igility.
Board Collaboration:
  1. Work closely with the Board of Directors, providing updates and seeking input on significant decisions.
  2. Collaborate with board committees to address specific organizational needs.
Program Oversight:
  1. Evaluate program effectiveness, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  2. Identify opportunities for program enhancement and expansion.

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. Understanding of health challenges and their impact on individuals and families.
  3. Knowledge of best practices in health advocacy and community support.
  4. Proven reliability and professionalism in a work environment.
  5. Certifications in First Aid/CPR and other relevant training.
Conditions of Employment:
  1. Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  2. Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  3. Standard First Aid/CPR certification (Level C).
