The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Strategic Initiatives to provide leadership and management of Magnet's strategic planning, partnerships, and initiatives. As a key member of the Magnet team, you will work closely with the Executive Director and Senior Director, Strategy and Operations to develop and implement strategic plans, build partnerships, and drive business results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive business results
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and management to Magnet's strategic planning team
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Senior Director, Strategy and Operations to develop and implement business strategies
  • Drive business results through effective project management and coordination

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in business, public administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading and developing strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Experience supervising staff in a unionized environment, preferably in a public or broader public sector organization
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a successful track record working in a large matrix organization
