We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Strategic Initiatives, Private Wealth to join our team at BMO. Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall objectives and growth strategy.
- Drive cross-functional teams towards the successful completion of strategic projects, overcoming obstacles and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Work closely with department heads and external partners to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
- Conduct rigorous market analysis, competitive intelligence gathering, and financial modeling to inform strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the development and refinement of business cases for strategic initiatives, including financial projections and risk assessment.
- Present periodic progress reports on strategic initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders, offering clear insights and recommendations.
- Foster an environment of innovation and agility, encouraging cross-departmental collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure that all strategic initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in strategic planning, project management, or a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of discretionary, full service investing, financial services industry, and fintech.
- Demonstrated success in leading and implementing large, complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to turn insights into actionable growth strategies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating teams and building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Deep understanding of the banking industry, current market trends, and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
BMO offers a competitive salary range of $84,000 to $156,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
