The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Initiatives to join our team at Magnet, a Centre of Innovation focused on the future of work. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of our strategic planning, partnerships, and initiatives, including pan-Canadian projects and cross-organizational strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans and key performance indicators
  • Lead strategic partnership activities, proposal development, and the strategic planning process
  • Formulate and maintain detailed and comprehensive strategic plans
  • Coordinate activities related to Magnet initiatives
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in business, public administration, strategic planning, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, leading, developing, and implementing strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Experience supervising staff in a unionized environment, preferably in a public or broader public sector organization
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a successful track record working in a large matrix organization
