Job Title: Customer Solutions Manager

Department: Field Sales, Solution and Business Development

Reporting to: Operations Manager

General Overview:

The Customer Solutions Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This position is tasked with driving new sales initiatives across commercial and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will cultivate robust business relationships through effective communication, investigation, negotiation, and closure strategies. The focus will be on expanding and nurturing accounts within the designated sector while actively seeking additional business opportunities through proactive outreach.

Success in this role is measured by the achievement of monthly productivity targets, necessitating a balanced performance in both product and service sales as outlined in the performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of potential clients for outreach, utilizing insights from business partners, industry directories, trade events, and other relevant sources.


• Conduct a detailed ROI analysis to guide proposals and ensure successful transaction closure.


• Engage potential clients through proactive phone outreach, identifying and qualifying leads while presenting the full spectrum of Insight's offerings.


• Oversee the target account strategy, opportunity management, and pipeline effectiveness.


• Collaborate closely with the operations manager and other Insight resources to ascertain clients' technical needs and recommend effective solutions tailored to their business objectives.


• Manage all facets of the sales cycle, including quoting, negotiation, advising on credit terms, and preparing sales agreements.


• Implement cross-selling and upselling strategies to enhance revenue and profit margins consistently.


• Work in tandem with Insight's internal support teams to guarantee exceptional customer satisfaction.


• Meet or exceed sales targets as specified in the performance metrics.


• Maintain oversight of outstanding customer accounts for items overdue by 60 days or more.


• Stay abreast of relevant technologies and strategic market trends; continuously enhance industry knowledge through participation in key events, specialized literature, vendor training, and external educational opportunities as applicable.

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Skills and Abilities)


• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.


• Post-secondary education complemented by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in solution-oriented product and service sales.


• At least 3 years of experience managing increasingly complex client portfolios.


• Comprehensive knowledge of multi-vendor product lines, alongside technical and professional service offerings.


• Proven track record of meeting ambitious individual sales targets and expanding market share through the acquisition of new clients.


• In-depth understanding of the IT industry, market dynamics, and key performance indicators.


• Exceptional skills in relationship management, sales strategy, communication, customer engagement, negotiation, and decision-making.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.


• Strong practical proficiency in MS Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

This role is primarily office-based, involving extensive computer work. The candidate may spend prolonged periods sitting, typing, and using a phone (including a headset). The ability to lift up to 10 pounds may be required.
