POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with expertise in the implementation, design, configuration, and support of JD Edwards applications. This role involves collecting and structuring business requirements, analyzing data needs, conducting systems analysis, and facilitating systems development, testing, and deployment processes.

The selected candidate will oversee and assist in all stages of the system development life cycle for the JD Edwards application. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering and supporting Tier-One ERP applications. A solid background in project management principles and practices is also required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and lead meetings with functional users and business leaders to document processes and gather functional specifications.
  • Skilled in diagnosing technical issues and formulating action plans for resolution.
  • Conduct analysis and design tasks for modules or applications slated for delivery.
  • Modify and enhance JD Edwards applications in accordance with established methodologies.
  • Utilize experience to propose and support business improvements.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities by developing and executing testing plans.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
  • Produce user documentation for modules, applications, and processes implemented.
  • Design and configure automated business process workflows.
  • Manage system sign-off and fulfill all change management requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve help desk inquiries related to the core JD Edwards application.
  • Collaborate effectively with all teams, even those outside formal authority lines.
  • Assist in project management, including status reporting, facilitating team coordination, and documenting risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a business and/or project analyst with Tier-One ERP applications, preferably Oracle Enterprise One (JD Edwards).
  • At least 10 years of experience in delivering JD Edwards application solutions or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, quality assurance, and implementation of Tier-One ERP applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ERP methodologies.
  • Experience with integrating enterprise application solutions such as DSI, EDI, Salesforce, and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards Sales & Distribution, Manufacturing, and Inventory modules is essential.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards Finance Modules is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

In performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands for handling tasks, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Occasionally, the employee may need to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Significant dexterity is required for using a computer keyboard, and oral communication is essential for performing work tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment noise level is typically moderate, as it is generally based in an open office layout. Some tasks may require working in operational units, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and hearing protection. There may also be exposure to outdoor elements and the need to use stairs and elevators.
