Job Title: Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
Reports To: Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager
Department: Finance and Accounting

Key Responsibilities:
The role encompasses a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual documentation related to the Trust's reporting and compliance obligations, which includes consolidated financial statements and accompanying notes, management discussion and analysis (MD&A), earnings announcements, and presentations for investors;
  • Contribute to the annual drafting of the annual information form (AIF) and management information circular (MIC), collaborating with the Trust's legal advisors;
  • Assist in the ongoing organization and management of treasury functions, including share certificates, issuances, and distributions;
  • Compile TSX Form 1 detailing monthly changes in Trust Units and units under the Trust's Deferred Unit Plan;
  • Draft IFRS research documents and stay updated on changes in accounting standards as per IFRS and REALpac;
  • Evaluate changes in fair value concerning the Trust's investment property portfolio and aid in reporting and presentation to senior management;
  • Support the ongoing management and reporting requirements of the Trust's unit-based compensation schemes, such as the Deferred Unit Plan, Long Term Incentive Plan, and Equity Incentive Plan;
  • Assist in the accounting and maintenance of the Trust's financial instruments;
  • Participate in special projects as requested by senior management.
Educational/Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or real estate.
  • A professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) or an advanced degree in a relevant field is essential.
Essential Skills/Experience:
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, ideally within an audit or tax environment with exposure to publicly traded entities;
  • Familiarity with IFRS; experience with REALpac is advantageous;
  • A detail-oriented individual with a strong track record of ownership and follow-through to resolve outstanding issues;
  • Proven organizational and time management abilities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with all organizational levels;
  • Strong business acumen and numerical proficiency;
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly advanced Excel, along with familiarity in Word and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with cloud-based reporting/compliance platforms (e.g., Workiva) is a plus;
  • Conduct market and demographic research and reporting.
