SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the implementation, design, configuration, and support of JD Edwards applications. This role involves gathering and organizing business requirements, analyzing data needs, and conducting systems analysis and design activities, while also supporting systems development, testing, and delivery processes.
The selected candidate will lead and support all stages of the system development life cycle for JD Edwards applications. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering and supporting Tier-One ERP applications. A solid background in project management principles and standards is also required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and facilitate meetings with functional users and business leaders to document processes and gather functional requirements.
- Expertly troubleshoot technical issues and develop action plans for resolution.
- Conduct analysis and design activities for modules or applications slated for delivery.
- Enhance and modify JD Edwards applications following established methodologies.
- Utilize experience to propose and support business improvements.
- Oversee quality assurance efforts by creating and executing test plans.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
- Develop user documentation for deployed modules, applications, and processes.
- Design and configure automated workflows for business processes.
- Ensure compliance with change management requirements and coordinate system sign-offs.
- Investigate and resolve help desk issues related to the core JD Edwards application.
- Collaborate effectively with all teams, even those outside formal authority lines.
- Assist in project management tasks, including status reporting and documentation of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of experience as a business and/or project analyst with Tier-One ERP applications, preferably Oracle Enterprise One (JD Edwards).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience delivering JD Edwards application solutions or equivalent.
- Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, quality assurance, and implementation of Tier-One ERP applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of ERP methodologies.
- Experience integrating enterprise application solutions such as DSI, EDI, Salesforce, and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards Sales & Distribution, Manufacturing, and Inventory modules is required.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards Finance Modules is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks. The employee may occasionally need to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regular lifting of up to 5 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Significant dexterity for using a computer keyboard is essential, and oral communication is a key component of the role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment typically features moderate noise levels, often based in an open office setting. Some tasks may require work in operational units, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and hearing protection. Exposure to outdoor elements may occur, and the role may involve the use of stairs and elevators.
