Summary

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Team Lead plays a vital role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations. This includes planning and optimizing resource allocation, driving process execution, maintaining stock accuracy, and fostering a safe and positive work environment while upholding company values and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prioritize daily tasks for specific warehouse areas (receiving, storage, and shipping).
  • Monitor and manage team performance against key metrics (CVP audits, tracking, etc.).
  • Conduct team meetings to communicate evening plans, including equipment assignments (forklifts, pallet jacks, containers).
  • Propose solutions to enhance productivity through process review and problem-solving.
  • Generate reports throughout the evening shift to track action plans, identify gaps (missing boxes, picking discrepancies), and determine priorities.
  • Verify price accuracy.
  • Prepare CVP reports, communicate action plans, and set evening shift priorities.
  • Investigate and correct variances within SAP, when necessary.
  • Promote best practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead the transition meeting between day and evening teams, ensuring seamless information transfer to the day shift.
  • Provide coaching and support to team members.
  • Develop evening action plans based on SAP data, incident reports, CVP meetings, etc., and input them into the UTRACK application.
  • Prepare picking for the following day.
  • Conduct process-related checks.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency in Excel; SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Highly organized with strong teamwork abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
