Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team at Starbucks. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in executing store operations during scheduled shifts and leading a team of partners to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts.
  • Lead a team of partners to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive store environment.
  • Deploy partners and delegate tasks to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and values.
  • Provide feedback to store manager on partner performance during shifts.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance.
  • Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude.
  • Discover and respond to customer needs.
  • Develop positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, need and concerns.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts.
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Follow up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
  • Ability to direct the work of others.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the retail environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • French language fluency in reading, writing, and verbal is required.
