As a Procurement Operations Lead for the Amazon Fulfillment Center, you will act as a liaison between centralized procurement and site management. You will be responsible for overseeing the indirect procurement operations at the site level, which includes managing vendor relationships with third-party service providers, handling purchase orders, and overseeing inventory management. Your role will involve leading supplier performance metrics and collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement. You will provide procurement expertise and align with site leadership to enhance operational efficiencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support procurement operations for the fulfillment center, including supplier management for goods and services, non-inventory labor, flow, and space models, cycle counts, and procurement transaction support.
  2. Assist in Procure-to-Pay processes and local sourcing initiatives as required.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of non-inventory associates to ensure the site is adequately resourced for success.
  4. Develop comprehensive knowledge of non-inventory items and collaborate with similar sites to implement best practices.
  5. Ensure adherence to network KPIs and generate regular reports to drive operational improvements.
  6. Provide insights when expenditures exceed budgets and work with centralized procurement to adjust purchase orders accordingly.
  7. Ensure compliance with site audits, supplier scorecards, and other centralized tracking systems.
  8. Train site stakeholders on Coupa and Payee Central tools.
  9. Act as the primary contact for escalations related to third-party vendors for services such as janitorial, waste management, food and PPE vending, and landscaping.
  10. Manage relationships with key stakeholders including site leaders, operations managers, HR, and safety teams.
  11. Ensure compliance with people management KPIs for the non-inventory team.
  12. Drive safety compliance for non-inventory teams and collaborate with local safety teams on safety concerns.
  13. Build relationships across the organization to share and implement best practices.
  14. Utilize input from category teams to develop metrics for tracking performance related to category strategies.
  15. Collaborate with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve vendor payment issues promptly.
  16. This role requires working in a warehouse environment, necessitating frequent movement throughout the facility and comfort with varying temperatures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 1+ years of experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables).
  2. 1+ years of experience in employee and performance management.
  3. 3+ years of experience in supply chain management.
  4. 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations.
  5. Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience with Amazon.
  6. Experience in supplier or vendor relationship management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience in procurement.
  2. Familiarity with Coupa or similar financial management/procurement software.
