As a Procurement Operations Lead for the Amazon Fulfillment Center team, you will act as the liaison between centralized Procurement and site leadership. You will be responsible for overseeing the site's indirect procurement activities, which include managing vendor relationships with third-party service providers, handling purchase orders, and overseeing inventory management. You will also lead the reporting of supplier management KPIs and metrics, collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and address deviations. Your role will involve providing procurement leadership and aligning with the site leadership team to enhance efficiencies and drive improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Deliver procurement operations support for the fulfillment center, including supplier management for goods and services, non-inventory labor, flow, and space models, cycle counts, inventory oversight, and procurement transaction support.
  2. Assist with Procure-to-Pay execution and local sourcing initiatives as necessary.
  3. Lead and develop a team of non-inventory associates to ensure the building is adequately resourced and positioned for success.
  4. Acquire in-depth knowledge of non-inventory items and collaborate with similar facilities to promote best practices.
  5. Ensure adherence to network KPIs and generate regular reports to facilitate improvements across the Operations network.
  6. Provide insights when expenditures exceed budgets and work with centralized Procurement to adjust purchase orders accordingly.
  7. Drive compliance with site audits, supplier scorecards, and other centralized tracking systems.
  8. Ensure site stakeholders receive training in Coupa and Payee Central tools.
  9. Act as the primary contact for third-party vendor escalations related to janitorial services, waste management, food and PPE vending, pallet management, pest control, snow removal, and landscaping.
  10. Manage relationships with all stakeholders, including General Managers, Senior Operations Managers, Operations Managers, Account Managers, HR Managers, Learning Managers, and Safety Managers.
  11. Ensure compliance with people management KPIs for the non-inventory team.
  12. Oversee and promote safety compliance for non-inventory teams during daily operations and collaborate with regional/local safety teams on safety concerns and escalations.
  13. Foster relationships throughout the building and network to ensure the sharing and implementation of best practices.
  14. Utilize input from the category team to develop a metrics model for tracking and monitoring performance in relation to category strategy, including supplier scorecards and site audits for third-party services.
  15. Collaborate internally within a complex matrix organization and with external suppliers to create solutions that provide Procurement support to the Operations network. Internal stakeholders include the centralized Site Procurement team and Global Procurement Organization Pillars.
  16. Assist central Procurement functions in identifying demand, managing procurement, and overseeing inventory for all non-merchandise items required for building operations, such as corrugate, packing materials, labor, and janitorial services.
  17. Work with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and various internal teams to ensure prompt resolution of vendor payment issues.
  18. This role requires working in a warehouse environment, which involves frequent movement throughout the building. Candidates should be comfortable in environments with varying temperatures, as many facilities have dock doors that open during shifts. This position necessitates full-time on-site attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 1+ years of experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables)
  2. 1+ years of experience in employee and performance management
  3. 3+ years of experience in supply chain
  4. 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations
  5. Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience with Amazon (blue badge/FTE)
  6. Experience in supplier or vendor relationship management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience in procurement
  2. Familiarity with Coupa or other financial management/procurement software
