Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the Personal and Business Banking team, you will operate in a dynamic Banking Centre where you will significantly impact our clients' financial journeys. In your role as a Financial Services Representative, you will cultivate essential relationships with clients, comprehend their financial aspirations, deliver personalized and insightful service, and recommend suitable products and solutions that will contribute to their financial well-being. You should be adaptable to work during our banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends. To enhance client experiences, you may be required to work at various banking centres within a reasonable travel range. At CIBC, we strive to create an environment that enables you to excel in your role.

How You Will Excel

  • Client Engagement - Meet with clients to grasp their personal and business objectives, provide advice on solutions, and develop a proactive financial strategy. Utilize your expertise in cash management, credit, investment, and wealth protection to assist clients in achieving their goals.
  • Relationship Development - Participate in marketing and outreach initiatives to demonstrate your commitment to clients and their communities. Expand your network, strengthen existing relationships, and collaborate as a unified team to ensure clients are connected to the appropriate resources and opportunities.
  • Utilizing Technology - Become proficient in technology. Share your expertise by introducing clients to our mobile banking applications, assisting them in managing their banking needs more effectively.

What CIBC Provides

At CIBC, your aspirations are our priority. We begin with your strengths and ambitions as an employee and aim to create opportunities that allow you to realize your potential. We aspire to offer you a career rather than merely a paycheck.

  • We strive to recognize you in meaningful, personalized ways, including a competitive salary, incentive compensation, banking benefits, a comprehensive health benefits program, a defined benefit pension plan, an employee share purchase plan, and MomentMakers, our social recognition program.
  • Our workspaces and technological resources will facilitate collaboration among innovative minds to create impactful solutions for our clients.
  • We foster a culture where you can express your ambitions through initiatives like Purpose Day; a paid day off dedicated to your personal growth and development.

Qualifications
  • You prioritize our clients. You engage with intention to identify the right solutions and go above and beyond because it is the right thing to do.
  • You are goal-oriented. You are driven by achieving your objectives and delivering your best to make a meaningful impact.
  • You understand the importance of details. You notice nuances that others may overlook. Your analytical skills support your decision-making process.
  • You are passionate about people. You find value in relationships and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You build trust through respect and authenticity.
  • You have a thirst for knowledge. You are eager to expand your understanding and recognize that there are no limits to what you can accomplish.
  • You are a certified professional. You hold current accreditation and maintain good standing with a Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada).
  • You can demonstrate at least one year of experience working with clients and achieving sales results. Previous banking experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Your values are important to you. You bring your authentic self to work and embody our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.

At CIBC, we are dedicated to helping our clients, employees, and shareholders achieve what matters most to them. Our ability to create value for all CIBC stakeholders is driven by a business culture rooted in shared values: Trust, Teamwork, and Accountability.
