About the Role
The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Treasury department, you will provide analytical and research support to our Manager, Treasury and Expenditure Management Director on matters relating to the government's investment in banking, borrowing, and investment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting, monitoring, and investing cash resources
- Administering debt financing
- Preparing policy documents and research and briefing materials
- Acting as an advisor to the Government of Nunavut on borrowing and investment activities
- Providing related advisory and cash management services
Requirements
- Recognized undergraduate degree in Banking, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related discipline
- Completion of either 2nd year towards a recognized accounting designation or introductory year of the CFA designation
- Two (2) years' experience working in banking, money, or capital markets
- Canadian Securities Course is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages
- Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment

- A competitive salary range of $97,372 to $110,510 per year
- A Northern Allowance of $16,008 per year
