Job Title: Sales Representative

Gerdau North America is a leading steel producer, and we are seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to fill this key role. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building relationships with customers, understanding their business needs, and providing solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and other communication channels.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, focusing on revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer needs from end-to-end, including quoting, negotiating pricing and volume, entering and managing pricing agreements, and resolving customer claims.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales Manager, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Fulfillment, and Marketing, to ensure seamless customer service and product availability.
  • Establish forecasts for 2-3 months out based on customer needs and market analysis.
  • Make decisions on pricing and discounts with customers, considering factors such as customer size, strategic impact, and order volume.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of sales experience in industries such as steel, metals manufacturing, commodities, or general manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, Engineering, or Material Sciences.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Metrics for Success:
  • Forecast accuracy for price and volume.
  • Achieving sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Developing strong relationships with customers and balancing Gerdau North America's needs.
  • Successfully managing customer orders from quoting to shipments.
