About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at OFF THE HOOK SURF TURF SMOKERY LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Establish and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, manage food and kitchen supplies, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and training on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Recruitment and Training: Hire food service staff, train new employees on job duties and company policies, and provide ongoing support and development opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, and provide support with foreign credential recognition.
  • Support for Youths: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
