About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Operations Manager to join our team at Carlos O'Bryans (Nanaimo). As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Cost Control

Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies, ensuring that we stay within our financial targets.

Operational Excellence

Evaluate and improve our daily operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Menu Planning and Pricing

Work with our culinary team to develop and implement menu plans and pricing strategies that meet our business objectives.

Staff Management

Recruit, train, and manage a team of staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional customer service.

Customer Service

Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service, responding to their complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Inventory Management

Oversee the management of our inventory, ensuring that we have the right products in stock at the right time.

Health and Safety

Ensure that our restaurant meets all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Marketing and Promotion

Work with our marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans and promotions that drive sales and increase customer engagement.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service management role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
