Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Operations Manager to join our team at Carlos O'Bryans (Nanaimo). As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Cost Control

Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies, ensuring optimal profitability.

Operational Efficiency

Evaluate and optimize daily operations to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Menu Planning and Pricing

Modify food preparation methods and menu prices to align with the restaurant's budget and target market.

Staff Management

Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and training, and make decisions on staff scheduling and development.

Customer Service

Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing complaints, providing solutions, and promoting a positive dining experience.

Inventory Management

Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.

Marketing and Events

Participate in marketing plans and implement operational procedures to drive business growth and increase revenue.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
