Job Title: Senior Manager, EHSS

Aspire Bakeries is a leading North American baking company with a strong commitment to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) excellence. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, EHSS to join our team and drive our EHS initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS programs and policies that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
  • Collaborate with bakery leadership to drive cultural changes and achieve EHS regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of EHS training programs for employees.
  • Manage and maintain EHS compliance programs, including permits and certifications.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Track and analyze EHS performance metrics to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of comprehensive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in safety or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian EHS regulations.
  • Experience supporting facilities in both Canada and USA is a plus.
  • Certifications (ASP, CSP, or Canada Equivalent) are a plus.
Work Environment:

The work environment for this role will involve regular travel to visit and support bakeries in both Canada and USA. The employee will be exposed to a warehouse and walk-in freezer environment with varying temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels.
