Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative for Manufacturing will play a critical role in providing front-line support to customers, ensuring seamless order entry, expedites, quoting, returns, price/availability, and special promotions. This position will also be responsible for managing billing inquiries/issues, service requests, suggestions, and complaints.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a fair and effective manner, ensuring timely responses and meeting metrics goals.
- Setup and manage customer accounts in CRM and SAP, working closely with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and functionality.
- Examine documents, including POs, drawings, and specifications, to ensure accurate order entry and material flow.
- Enter orders in SAP, attach documents, and send acknowledgments to customers.
- Respond to customer requests via phone or email, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain customer web-based interfaces, including portals for order retrieval, acknowledgments, and uploading invoices.
- Maintain scheduling agreements and quantity contracts, working closely with accounting to resolve receivable issues.
- Track and manage customer complaints, providing timely resolutions and follow-up.
- Provide overall support to sales and plant operations, including stocking agreements and consignment agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; secondary degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.
- SAP experience required.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service focus and ability to remain productive under pressure.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite of products.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- SAP experience preferred.
