Customer Service Representative for Manufacturing

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Kennametal. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective support to customers via various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a fair and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams, to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Manage customer accounts, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Enter and track customer orders, including processing payments and resolving any discrepancies.
- Work closely with accounting and finance teams to resolve receivable issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and services to provide expert advice and guidance to customers.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer service processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, communications, or customer service.
- 1-3 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software and experience with SAP or similar systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
