Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative for Manufacturing will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to customers, ensuring their needs are met, and resolving any issues that may arise. This position requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line support for customer order entry, order expedites, quoting, returns, price/availability, and manage special promotions.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a fair and effective manner, providing timely responses and maintaining metrics goals.
- Setup and manage customer accounts, including working with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and functionality.
- Examine documents, such as purchase orders, drawings, and specifications, to ensure accurate processing and entry of materials.
- Enter orders in the company's ERP system, attach relevant documents, and send acknowledgments.
- Respond to customer requests via phone or email, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain customer web-based interfaces, including portals for order retrieval, acknowledgments, and uploading invoices.
- Maintain scheduling agreements and quantity contracts.
- Work with the accounting department to resolve receivable issues.
- Track and manage customer complaints.
- Provide overall support for sales and plant operations.
- Manage stocking agreements and consignment agreements, subject to certain facilities.
- Implement KANBAN processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; secondary degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.
- SAP experience required.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service focus and ability to remain productive under pressure.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- SAP experience preferred.
