Lead Clinical Informatics Consultant

This role involves collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders to provide essential support to operational leaders and end users in optimizing Clinical Informatics. The position plays a crucial role in enhancing patient care by monitoring quality indicators and key metrics, while working closely with frontline teams to ensure compliance and improve safety standards.
Role Overview:The Senior Consultant for Clinical Informatics will actively engage with site and program stakeholders to enhance the quality and accuracy of clinical information. This position serves as a primary representative for all matters related to Clinical Information Systems (CISs) and their impact on clinical operations. The consultant will lead various improvement initiatives that are influenced by or dependent on CISs, ensuring that the clinical priorities of the site or program are effectively supported by the systems in place.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the reporting and dissemination of clinical information to aid in decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Act as the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with clinical and accreditation standards.
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to meet the needs of service users.

A degree in a health-related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. Candidates must hold current registration with a professional association (if applicable) and possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a complex healthcare environment. Additionally, at least 2 years of experience in using or managing clinical information systems is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional growth and possess strong skills in relationship building with key stakeholders.
Additional Required Qualifications:Proficiency in analytical and evaluation techniques for quality improvement is necessary. Candidates should have a solid understanding of health information standards and the interrelationships among various health information systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, along with experience in facilitating knowledge transfer and teaching adult learners.
