The consultant will assist in managing, prioritizing, and overseeing Clinical Informatics processes and changes.

Role Overview:

The Senior Consultant for Clinical Informatics will engage with site and program stakeholders to consistently elevate the quality and integrity of clinical data. Acting as a key representative for all matters related to Clinical Information Systems (CISs), this role will focus on the impacts of CIS on clinical operations. The consultant will lead various improvement initiatives that are influenced by or depend on CISs, ensuring that the clinical priorities of the site or program are effectively supported by the systems in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the reporting and dissemination of clinical information to aid in decision-making and performance assessment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to clinical and accreditation standards.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to meet the needs of service users.
Qualifications:

A degree in a health-related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. Current registration with a professional association is necessary if applicable. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting characterized by significant size and complexity, alongside at least 2 years of experience in utilizing or managing clinical information systems.

Additional Skills:

Proven ability to cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders, demonstrating strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Experience in complex problem-solving and the ability to think critically and systematically are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of health information standards and data interrelationships among various health information systems is advantageous. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, along with experience in teaching adult learners and leading care teams.
