OZZ Electric Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team. As an HR Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR Director and other departments in the creation and submission of HR documents, reviewing safety submissions, and assisting with administrative tasks related to HR and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety awareness programs, systems, and committees.
  • Provide support to employees and external organizations by answering questions and resolving issues.
  • Manage registrations of benefits and ITA hours on behalf of field workers.
  • Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation, organizing meetings, and developing the health and safety program.
  • Coordinate WCB claims and injury management, including completion of paperwork, issuing modified duties, and creating safe return-to-work programs.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of employees, ensuring compliance with training programs and associated administration.
  • Ensure field employee records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Investigate and report incidents, employee safety programs, and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Ensure HR and Safety programs are up-to-date, including SiteDocs, Microsoft Access, Synerion, ITA, CIBP, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of HR experience.
  • Knowledge of the BC electrical contracting industry and regulations is an asset.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required.
