Job Summary
OZZ Electric Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team. As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, ensuring compliance with legislation, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and submission of HR documents to various departments.
- Review safety submissions from sites and assist Site Supervisors with administrative tasks related to HR and Safety.
- Provide ongoing support creating health and safety awareness and ensuring corporate compliance with legislation.
- Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all legislation and organizing committee meetings.
- Coordinate WCB claims and injury management, including completion of paperwork and issuing modified duties.
- Assist in the onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of employees, ensuring compliance and completion of training programs.
- Ensure field employee records are kept up to date and identify, investigate, and report incidents and employee safety programs.
Requirements
- 1+ years of HR experience.
- Knowledge of the BC electrical contracting industry and regulations an asset.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
Working Conditions
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime may be required.
- Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required.
