Job Description

**Performance Engineer Role at CB Canada**

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to join our team at CB Canada. As a Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Monitor and Analyze System Performance**: Continuously monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing process and performance enhancements as needed.
  • **Lead Performance Testing and Optimization**: Lead performance testing and optimization efforts, ensuring that systems and infrastructure are optimized for maximum efficiency and performance.
  • **Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure that performance engineering best practices are integrated into all aspects of the development lifecycle.
  • **Develop and Maintain Performance Engineering Processes**: Develop and maintain performance engineering processes and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices and company standards.
  • **Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Trends and Technologies**: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in performance engineering, ensuring that the team is equipped to handle the latest challenges and opportunities.
Requirements
  • **Performance Engineering Background**: A strong background in performance engineering, with a proven track record of leading successful performance engineering projects.
  • **Leadership and Collaboration Skills**: Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • **Technical Skills**: Strong technical skills, including expertise in performance testing and optimization, system monitoring and analysis, and performance engineering best practices.
  • **Communication and Documentation Skills**: Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • **Cloud-Based Infrastructure Experience**: Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including Azure and other cloud platforms.
  • **Container-Based Service Schedulers**: Experience with container-based service schedulers, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • **Performance Testing Tools**: Experience with performance testing tools, including JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • **Log Management Tools**: Experience with log management tools, including Splunk.
