About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team at MeridianTech Consulting Inc. As an Application Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems and networks.
  • Problem-Solving: Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions to technical issues.
  • Incident Management: Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
  • Collaboration: Participate in the redesign of applications and other software to improve system performance and user experience.
  • Business Systems Support: Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
  • Web-Server Management: Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure system uptime and data integrity.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
  • Work Environment: Work in a dynamic and fast-paced consulting firm environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality services to clients.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular 30-40 hour workweek, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
