Cisco Voice Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco Voice Engineer to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a Cisco Voice Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex voice communication systems using Cisco technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide level 3 support for Call Manager, Unity Voicemail, and Unified Call Center Express systems
  • Participate in the upgrade of these systems to version 14.1, including planning, upgrading, and testing
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of upgrades to version 15 for these systems
  • Perform level 3 troubleshooting of these systems
  • Collaborate with Cisco vendors to resolve issues
  • Document and update documentation for these systems
  • Configure and maintain Cisco video servers (VCS and Expressway)
Requirements:
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and documentation skills
  • At least 5 years of experience as a level 3 engineer in Cisco voice products
  • Ability to work independently
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco Voice infrastructure, including Voice Gateways
  • Expertise in Cisco Call Manager, particularly version 12 and above
  • Good working knowledge of Unity and UCCx
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Client and ECB (preferable)
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Video servers (VCS and Expressway) and Cisco Video endpoints

  • Oracle Session Border Controller (Client) and Oracle Enterprise Communication Broker (ECB)
  • Oracle Enterprise Operations Monitor
  • Integration of PSTN telephone with TEAMS
  • Vitec (formerly Exterity) IPTV solution
