About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Absolute Laser Manufacturing. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our metal fabrication products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution: Interpret welding process specifications and execute them accurately to meet quality standards.
  • Metal Fabrication: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Specialized Tasks: Perform specialized tasks such as custom fabrication, pressure vessel fabrication, and large diameter pipeline fabrication.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding.
  • Skills: Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
