Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator to join our Remediation Program Management (RPM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the risk and closure of contaminated sites in Ontario, working closely with project managers and clients to design and oversee field work related to monitoring, investigating, and remediating contaminated sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and positive work environment for colleagues
  • Demonstrate a non-wavering commitment to health and safety
  • Work closely with project managers to prepare health and safety plans, emergency response plans, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Schedule field staff and subcontractors
  • Compile data for reports
  • Write reports, including preparing conclusions and recommendations
  • Conduct occasional field work, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour investigations, monitoring programs, and overseeing site remediation
  • Train junior staff in environmental practices, including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, and oversight of remediation
  • Train staff on site-specific health and safety
  • Collaborate across the national RPM team and WSP
  • Inspire team commitment to our Company Guiding Principles and Vision
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to technicians
  • Formulate a personal career development plan with specific goals to achieve career aspirations
Requirements
  • University degree or above in environmental science, engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in contaminated site assessment, soil and groundwater sampling
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in an engineering consulting environment
  • Analytical mind, able to make recommendations on next steps for client sites
  • Willingness to grow career within the RPM team
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation preferred
