Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at 1000508044 Ontario Corporation. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
  • Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items, maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Create new recipes and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants, plan menus, and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Recruit and hire staff, manage kitchen operations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a chef or in a related culinary role
  • Cook Trade Certification, Safe Food Handling certificate, and Emergency First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, physically demanding environment, and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
