We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Vintage Hotels.

Job Summary: As a Human Resources Generalist, you will provide guidance and support to our team members and department managers, focusing on recruitment, training, health and safety, team member engagement, and recognition programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the full recruitment cycle, developing strategies to support staffing needs and building relationships with community partners.
  • Develop and implement training programs, including orientation and service culture training, to ensure new and existing team members have a positive and engaging experience.
  • Manage the onboarding process, enrolling new team members in company training modules and monitoring completion progress.
  • Create and share content for our careers social media pages, highlighting our team and company culture.
  • Participate in monthly health and safety committee meetings and ensure follow-up items are actioned.
  • Manage workplace safety and insurance board claims and facilitate return-to-work programs as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination and oversight of our health and safety program.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and track exit interviews, stay interviews, and probationary reviews.
  • Assist with planning and executing company team member events, such as appreciation days and holiday parties.

Professional Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in an HR progressive role, with hospitality experience an asset.
  • Post-graduate degree in Human Resources, CHRP required, with a desire to progress towards CHRL.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, including employment standards, accessibility, occupational health and safety, and human rights.
