We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to support our team at Vintage Hotels.

Job Summary: As a Human Resources Generalist, you will provide guidance and support to our team members and department managers, focusing on recruitment, training, health and safety, and employee engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the full recruitment cycle, developing strategies to support staffing needs and building relationships with community partners.
  • Develop and implement training programs, including orientation and service culture training, to enhance team member engagement and motivation.
  • Manage employee onboarding, including enrollment in company training modules and monitoring completion progress.
  • Create and maintain content for our careers social media pages, promoting our team and company culture.
  • Participate in monthly joint health and safety committee meetings and ensure follow-up items are actioned.
  • Manage workplace safety and insurance board claims and facilitate return-to-work programs as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination and oversight of our health and safety program.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and track exit interviews, stay interviews, and probationary reviews.
  • Assist with planning and executing company team member events, such as appreciation days and holiday parties.

Professional Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in an HR progressive role, with hospitality experience an asset.
  • Post-graduate degree in Human Resources, CHRP required, with a desire to progress towards CHRL.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, including Employment Standards Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
