Position Overview

The Food Services Supervisor at INDO CANADIAN FOOD HUT INC. plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. This position requires a dedicated individual who can effectively manage kitchen staff and maintain high standards of food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen personnel involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Supply Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Training: Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet established quality standards.
  • Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets effectively.
  • Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Order Preparation: Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef.
  • Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules for kitchen staff.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Conditions: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, with the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Hours: This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week.
