Job Title: Office Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team at New St James Presbyterian Church. As an Office Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our staff and volunteers, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement new administrative procedures to improve office efficiency
  • Carry out administrative activities of the establishment, including coordination and planning for office services
  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures, ensuring compliance with church policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative support to staff and volunteers, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and maintenance, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a church or non-profit setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
