Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our team at Boulangerie Première Moisson. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of the accounts payable cycle and a portion of the accounts receivable cycle, for the territory assigned to the Retail Network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and experience in the food and retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Open new suppliers in Acomba accounting software
    • Ensure conformity of all supplier invoices
    • Code supplier invoices in the correct GL accounts, in accordance with accounting guidelines
    • Enter invoices into Acomba accounting software
    • Issue payments (mainly by bank transfer)
    • Follow up supplier discounts and payment terms
    • Verify statements of account, according to established frequency
    • Respond to various requests from suppliers
    • Respond to requests from managing partners or branch managers
    • All other tasks related to the accounts payable cycle
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Perform credit analysis and open accounts receivable
    • Collect customer payments
    • Follow up and balance branch deposits
    • Ensure rigorous follow-up of accounts receivable, according to established frequency
    • Carry out inter-branch invoicing, in accordance with the accounting charter
    • Respond to various customer inquiries regarding accounts payable
    • Respond to requests from managing partners or branch managers
    • All other tasks related to the accounts receivable cycle
  • Other Related Duties:
    • File all documents processed by the Accounts Payable/Receivable department.
    • Be aware of and apply accounting standards at all times, in accordance with the accounting procedures manual.
    • A few hours per week will be allocated to support the payroll team.
    • Participate in special projects with the Accounting Supervisor
    • Embody the mission, culture, and values of the Boulangerie Première Moisson family
    • Contribute to interdepartmental synergy at Boulangerie Première Moisson
    • Express expectations, needs, and suggestions to immediate superior
    • Keep his/her superior informed of any problematic or conflictual situation
    Requirements
    • DEP/DEC in accounting/business administration
    • Approximately 1 year experience in accounts payable and receivable processing.
    • Experience in the food (an asset) and retail sectors.
    • Knowledge of Acomba software.
    • Fluency in spoken and written French.
    • Spoken and written English (an asset).
    • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP, etc.)
