Job Summary

Fed Finance Canada is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of supplier invoices and disbursements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Classification and Processing: Classify and process invoices, proof of delivery, proof of receipt, and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Disbursement Preparation: Assemble checks and supporting documents for disbursements, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and complete.
  • Document Management: Classify and manage documents related to the department on a daily basis, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Payment Processing: Process payments in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring all transactions are accurate and compliant.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from suppliers and internal departments regarding payments and disbursements, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Banking and Cash Management: Coordinate with the bank for bank transfers and make daily deposits, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and secure.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounts payable operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
