Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the accounts payable cycle and a portion of the accounts receivable cycle for our Retail Network. The candidate will work closely with our Accounting Supervisor, Intermediate Accountants, Payroll, and Human Resources departments.
ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable- Open new suppliers in Acomba accounting software and ensure conformity of all supplier invoices.
- Code supplier invoices in the correct GL accounts, in accordance with accounting guidelines, and enter invoices into Acomba accounting software.
- Issue payments (mainly by bank transfer) and follow up supplier discounts and payment terms.
- Verify statements of account, according to established frequency, and respond to various requests from suppliers.
- Perform other tasks related to the accounts payable cycle.
- Perform credit analysis and open accounts receivable, collect customer payments, and follow up and balance branch deposits.
- Ensure rigorous follow-up of accounts receivable, according to established frequency, and carry out inter-branch invoicing, in accordance with the accounting charter.
- Respond to various customer inquiries regarding accounts payable and perform other tasks related to the accounts receivable cycle.
- DEP/DEC in accounting/business administration.
- Approximately 1 year experience in accounts payable and receivable processing.
- Experience in the food and retail sectors is an asset.
- Knowledge of Acomba software is required.
- Fluency in spoken and written French is essential.
- Spoken and written English is an asset.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP, etc.) are necessary.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
