About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to join our Public Sector team at SAP SE. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and sustainable expansion.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers, leveraging your knowledge of their needs and goals to deliver value and drive business outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date on customer technology footprints, strategic growth plans, technology strategies, and competitive landscapes to inform sales approaches.
  • Lead designated territories, including accounts, account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales cycles.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive business plans to address customer and prospect priorities and pain points.

Demands Generation, Pipeline, and Opportunity Management

  • Maintain a rolling pipeline through disciplined planning and execution.
  • Leverage support organizations, including Marketing, Inside Sales, Partners, and Channels, to funnel pipeline into assigned territories.
  • Stay proficient in SAP solutions and bring them to bear on sales pursuits.
  • Advance and close sales opportunities through successful execution of sales strategies and roadmaps.
  • Sell value and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.
  • Orchestrate resources to execute winning sales and deploy appropriate teams.
  • Utilize best practice sales models and stay up-to-date on SAP's competition.
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline information in CRM systems.

Leading a Virtual Account Team

  • Demonstrate leadership skills in orchestrating remote teams.
  • Ensure account teams and Partners are well-versed in each account's strategy and positioned for customer touchpoints and events.

Work Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in sales of complex business software/IT solutions.
  • Public Sector industry and domain experience required.
  • Proven track record in business application software sales.
  • Experience in lead role of a team-selling environment.
  • Demonstrated success with large transactions and lengthy sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative, and competitive market.
  • Business-level English and French: Fluent.
  • Local language: Fluent, preferred.

Pay Transparency

SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture. The targeted combined range for this position is 159,300 CAD.
