Senior Account Executive, Public Sector Solutions
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SAP public sector division is experiencing remarkable growth due to the unique opportunity to digitally transform our clientele.
The primary duties of the Public Sector Account Executive encompass identifying prospects, qualifying leads, selling, and finalizing new business with both existing and potential customers within the Public Sector domain.
This Senior Account Executive offers valuable insights during customer interactions, utilizing all available resources to address client challenges with suitable SAP offerings.
This position is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate effective and tailored account plans to meet revenue objectives and foster sustainable growth. Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients to drive strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Trusted Advisor Role: Build robust relationships grounded in an understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering value. Establish a foundation for future business opportunities and maintain accurate account information.
- Customer Insight: Gain a comprehensive understanding of each client's technology landscape, growth strategies, and competitive environment.
- Territory and Account Management: Oversee a designated territory, managing accounts, relationships, prospect profiles, and sales processes.
- Business Planning: Create and implement a thorough business plan addressing the priorities and challenges of customers and prospects.
Demand Generation and Opportunity Management:
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a disciplined approach to managing a dynamic sales pipeline, ensuring it remains current and progressing.
- Collaborative Pipeline Development: Utilize support from marketing, inside sales, partners, and channels to enhance the pipeline within the assigned territory.
- Leveraging SAP Solutions: Demonstrate proficiency in SAP's offerings, including industry-specific solutions, line-of-business solutions, and technology solutions.
- Sales Advancement: Drive and close sales opportunities through effective execution of the sales strategy.
- Event Participation: Engage in all SAP promotions and events within the territory.
- Value Selling: Focus on selling the value of solutions.
- White Space Analysis: Conduct analysis and execute initiatives within the customer base.
- Resource Coordination: Assemble the right teams to execute successful sales strategies.
- Best Practices Utilization: Apply proven sales models to enhance effectiveness.
- Competitive Positioning: Understand SAP's competitive landscape and effectively position solutions accordingly.
- CRM Maintenance: Keep the CRM system updated with accurate customer and pipeline data.
Leading Virtual Account Teams:
- Exhibit leadership in coordinating remote teams.
- Ensure account teams and partners are well-informed about each account's strategy and prepared for all customer interactions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Over 10 years of experience in selling complex business software or IT solutions.
- Experience in the public sector industry is essential.
- Demonstrated success in business application software sales.
- Experience leading in a team-selling environment.
- Proven track record with large transactions and extended sales cycles in a fast-paced, consultative market.
- Fluency in English and French at a business level.
- Fluency in the local language is preferred.

We provide an annual compensation range that includes base salary and variable incentive targets for the applicable career level. The targeted combined range for this position is 159,300 CAD, with the actual offer depending on various factors such as education, skills, experience, and role scope, as determined during the selection process.
