About the Role

Abebooks Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager to join our Sales and Account Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with partners in the rare and collectable book industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Long-Term Strategic Relationships: Forge strong partnerships with association partners to drive future category growth and expand our reach in the collectable book market.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Collaborate with partners to increase topline and revenue growth in the collectable business, identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Partner Management: Develop and standardize processes for partner management, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Category Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive category plans in partnership with the account management team, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
A Day in the Life

As a Senior Account Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across offices to drive business growth and develop strategic relationships with partners. Your day will be split between working on new business development, developing and executing strategies to grow the rare and collectable business, and collaborating with partner teams on execution and alignment.

About the Team

The Sales and Account Management team at Abebooks Inc. is responsible for seller acquisition, business growth, and managing key accounts and partners. We work to improve the experience for all selling partners through programs and partnerships with Marketing and Product teams. Our team is distributed across two locations, and we strive to maintain strong communication channels to foster effective collaboration.

Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in a sales or business development role
  • Experience dealing directly with small and medium business owners
  • Knowledge of e-commerce, rare bookselling, and collecting
  • Experience working with institutions
  • Experience building programs from scratch
  • Proven track record in creating business relationships, both virtually and in-person
  • Experience developing business growth strategies
  • Experience working with data and defining KPIs to measure success
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
