About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers
  • Chef Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff
    • Provide training and guidance to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation
  • Food Safety and Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety
    • Conduct regular kitchen audits to maintain high standards
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies
    • Order and receive stock as needed
  • Cleanliness and Organization
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
    • Ensure that all equipment and utensils are clean and in good working order
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Work Environment

As a member of our kitchen team, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Language

The primary language spoken in the kitchen is English.
