Job Opportunity

Aecon is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Aecon team in Montreal.

In Your Role, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Executing and/or coordinating, collecting, verifying, and integrating the scope of work from all project entities. Reviewing the project scope representation in schedules
  • Developing and maintaining all required project schedules and ensuring data integrity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implementing custom activity coding, naming conventions, client requirement management protocols, project schedules, and resource and production databases
  • Supporting resource planning and analysis. Forecasting diverse types of resource needs, including labor, materials, and equipment, throughout the project
  • Performing construction operation productivity analysis. Establishing a productivity base to be used in estimates, as developed in collaboration with the construction team
  • Preparing reports and dashboards for each milestone to provide updates on project status to all internal and external clients
  • Analyzing schedule variance, float, and trends and monitoring KPIs
  • Developing a progress measurement process and analyzing progress and performance data
  • Managing change of schedule notifications and forecasting project impact. Implementing corrective measures when performance trends deviate from the baseline
  • Performing audits according to various schedules, including those produced by subcontractors, preparing all required extrant documents
  • Collaborating with all interfunctional teams to maintain, add, or modify data and planning
  • Supporting the 5D integration process of the schedule with the 3D model and cost, and reporting results, including cash flow and sequencing simulations

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3-7 years of experience in planning in megaprojects
  • Proven experience and skills in planning and managing complex projects
  • Intermediate to expert-level knowledge of project planning and scheduling software, including Primavera P6
  • SAP, Hard Dollar, PowerBI, and Synchro knowledge will be an asset
