About the Role

The Business Application and Machine Learning Developer will join the Supply Chain Digital Transformation team within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization at FIS Global. Our team is responsible for optimizing operational efficiencies of supply chain business processes through the agile and innovative uses of technology to enable control, insight, and rapid decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and test custom applications using MS Power Platform and machine learning frameworks.
  • Support the optimization of supply chain business processes to improve overall organization performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, ideate, develop, test, and deploy solutions.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and maintenance of existing applications.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in application development.
  • Provide effective and easy-to-reference documentation.
  • Implement machine learning models from scratch using a machine learning framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract and preprocess necessary data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into productive environments.
  • Identify ways to ensure model continuous updates to new data.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related program.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Co-operative education program at an Ontario university or college.
  • Strong understanding of MS Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) with greater emphasis on Power Automate.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent proactive communication skills to collaborate with team members to convey progress, obstacles, and opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience with third-party machine learning APIs (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience with data extraction and preprocessing.
