Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Golden Life Management Corporation. As a key member of our Village Nursing Care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administration of medications, medical treatments, and procedures as per provincial regulations and established policies and procedures.
  • Care Planning: Develop, update, and regularly evaluate comprehensive care plans tailored to the resident's short and long-term requirements.
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to staff involved in the provision of resident care, including mentoring and role modeling, fostering and promoting new initiatives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Participate in decision-making relating to matters of health and safety, resident care, and staffing, and maintain effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete and ensure Resident's clinical care assessments and plans are documented and accurate, and coordinate nursing team's resident care assignments to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services to residents.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Current LPN registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Experience: Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care an asset.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of MDS/InterRAI, Level 1 OFA First Aid Certificate, effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and proven computer skills.
  • Personal Qualities: A team-player, physical capability to perform the duties of the position, successful clearance of a Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check, proof of negative TB Screening Test and Immunization records, and proof of full and current COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.

Golden Life Management Corporation offers a competitive rate of $32.84-$44.18 per hour for this position, which falls under provincial wage-levelling. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a voluntary registered retirement plan with company contributions, for eligible employees.
