Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Village Nursing Care team at Golden Life Management Corporation. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to members of the program team, ensuring comprehensive care plans are developed and implemented for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a warm, friendly, and caring environment for residents and colleagues.
- Develop and update care plans tailored to residents' short and long-term requirements.
- Participate in decision-making relating to health and safety, resident care, and staffing.
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and medical treatments.
- Coordinate nursing team's resident care assignments to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff involved in resident care, mentoring and role modeling best practices.
Requirements:
- Current LPN registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care an asset.
- Working knowledge of MDS/InterRAI.
- Level 1 OFA First Aid Certificate.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven computer skills.
- A team-player.
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the position.
- Successful clearance of a Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check.
- Proof of negative TB Screening Test and Immunization records.
- Proof of full and current COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption.
