We are seeking a qualified Health Care Aide to join our Nursing Care team at Golden Life Management Corporation. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our seniors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and hygiene.
- Perform delegated clinical procedures, record observations, and report any changes to the nurse supervisor.
- Assist residents and families during admission, move-out, or transfer processes, providing support and orientation as needed.
- Use medical and mobility equipment safely, reporting any malfunctions to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist with feeding and other meal-service related duties.
- Interact with residents, guests, and staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Complete required documentation and follow security and infection control policies and procedures.
- Current registration and good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (BCCACHWR).
- Certificate of completion from a recognized Care aide (RCA, HCA) program.
- Must be physically capable of performing all required tasks.
- Ensures that Golden Life Management Policies and Procedures are practiced.
- Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
- Able to read and write English.
- Must have ability to be self-motivated for this position.
- Can provide a negative TB screening test.
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
- Competitive hourly rate of $29.83, with this position currently falling under provincial wage-levelling.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including a voluntary registered retirement plan with company contributions, for eligible employees.
